The book is mainly second hand accounts of people’s esoteric collective consciousnesses experiences, explained by Dossey in a more modern scientific language. If somebody has that point of view, obe can’t be kne to evidence, so there’s no place to go with that sort of discussion.
I liked this book but I do feel like the author does not deliver on his promise. I hate that it has to come funeral by funeral, but that’s better than no progress at all.
I would love to have a universal connection of mind proven scientifically but, as this book proves, we’re not there yet. He came up with the idea of complementarity, and this is a situation in which things that seemed opposite from each other are necessary to come together to explain what we experience, and even what we demonstrated in the laboratory sometimes in terms of physics.

If you look at the data, for example, around 70 to 80 percent of Americans say they have had precognitive experiences, premonitions, apprehension of things before they happened. And people do not do well in terms obe longevity and physical health in isolation.
I found this book to be so reaffirming. I imagine both are necessary? Dorsey explores how powerful dozsey mind can be, if one is open to changing one’s thoughts. Dossey’s books, and this one is no exception, even though it differs from many of his previous works by virtue of tackling a subject that cannot be concretely contained.
