What I loved was that there was clearly a lot of oriigns put into the thought when writing this, but I als It was interesting to learn about the very beginning of Morgans past, about how it all started and how it all began for her. Tidrnan don’t sentence her to death; they actually let her go if she promises not to harm them.
I was a bit disappointed because I was loving the romance and story from the previous books. Usually we get to read about Morgan, and Hunter. Hunter and Morgan explore the world of these powerful witches, to find a way to vanquish them at last.
I read these as a teenager and enjoyed them, and am surprised that even 12 years later they still find themselves enjoyable to me. Due to Cal and Morgan’s relationship, Bree and Tisrnan, members of Cirrus, announce their leaving of the coven to a different coven which is headed by Sky Eventide.

I find the continuity of the series suffers a bit by doing this. There are a lot of strong women here, and I find them inspiring. The daughter of her coven’s High Priestess, Rose always felt that she was being held back from her magick by her mother. Im not saying thats its a bad series though, just that it could of had a lot more done with it. This book switches perspectives between Morgan and Alisa Soto, who discovers that she is a half-witch with significant power.
Rose’s mother ended up being struck my an arrow with magick ruins carved into it and enough was enough. Not only was she almost exactly like Morgan, a character so dimwitted I wish I could smack her through the book, but she was also really creepy.
One Book Two
But this time I’m leaning closer to 4. This goes to the past with an explanation as how the dark wave got started. The book tried to do all this in an old timey way, but of course, the book isn’t really an accurate depiction of life. Apart from the above flaws, here’s no humor unless you cae Morgan’s drinking Diet Coke all the time, which gets tired really fast and no writing good enough to be enjoyed by adults as well a sure sign of a good children’s book.
Want to Read saving…. Upon the actions of another coven, Ealltuinn, Morgan begins to realize that there are dark forces once again being built against her. It is one of the most beautifully and potently crafted books of this series I’ve read yet. One odd thing cxte that Kyra and Falkner seem to stay together and in love, despite the charm being the cause of it. In origibs experience it just seems to be the German thing, to be awesome people.
Barbara Hambly has been the biggest influence on how I describe magic. In Origins, we travel back in time to the days when magic was just starting to be feared by cities across America and England.
